He is so unique as he utilise his senses to the maximum extent to solve a case, in such a way he is popular among the Police force itself. One day he got a case from a school kid who lost his dog, the boy weeps while narrating the death of his pet. The boy handed over a bullet to Kaniyan which he found inside the body of the dog. Kaniyan and his colleague moves forward with the case but as it progress it became so mysterious and even led them into many other unsolved mysteries.

Mysskin is a very familiar name for all those who love the new wave tamil cinema, because his films always deals with topics which others do not take, or even if it is a common one he may use his own style give a diffrent experience to the viewers. Kaniyan has a lots a similarity with the Sherlock Holmes, even director Mysskin reveals that he was inspired by Sherlock Holmes while writing the story for this movie, so both his characters Kaniyan and Manohar resembles Holmes and Dr Watson respectively. It was one of the best investigative thriller that I had seen in the recent times. It deals will all the minute elements while solving a case and even the crimes commited in the movie vary in style comparing to other thrillers.

So if you like to watch some movie that will always keep you at the edge of the seat, then Thuparivalan is your choice.
