The suspense at the end of this movie make a quite different experience for everyone, for those who love thrillers this will be a good suggestion as political thriller.

5.AZHAR (2016)

5.AZHAR (2016)

Language- Hindi (India)
Dir- Tony Dsouza
*ing- Imran Hashmi, Praachi Desai, Nargis Fakri, Lara Dutta
PLOT
One of the most controversial name in the history of Indian cricket, so there will not need any further introduction for Mohammed Azharudheen, who was charged with match fixing in the late 90’s. The movie begins with a preparation for a sting operation to trap the players and bookies associated with match fixing, while the time Azhar completed his 99th test match with an hundred and a win for India. In the next day he was called by the Indian Cricket Association and informed him that he was accused of match fixing so they imposed him with a ban from the cricket. From applause to the accusation, from claps to the hurling of stones, it was all of a sudden that the Azhar fell from the peak to the depth. He was alone in the world with no one in support for him, even the teammates. So Azhar came to his old friend Reddy to ask him to appear for his case. For the benefit of his case Reddy asked him to say all those things that happened in his life, there started the flashback of Azhar with his cricket life, his marriage, his love and some other facts we doesn’t know about him and the cricket and his fight for his justice.

When this movie was released it didn’t get much appeal from the crowd as well as from the critics, it was failed to depict the life of Azhar that was the reason as told by the critics. I didn’t find any such kind of mistakes in the movie, all the heard stories and rumors during that period was depicted clearly. If you try to watch this as an inspirational sports movie then you will get disappointed, even more than a biopic it’s a romance drama. Songs and background scores are not up to the mark, even the casting of Imran Hashmi was also not good, he lacks the physic of Azhar. It will not be a great movie but it shows some good message in terms of love.

Oshea and Lisa along with paddy meets Dr Smith to make proper clarification about the rare species. Smith tells that it is of Alien origin. Will these people be able to stop this monster? Will Oshea be able to express his love towards Lisa?

Grabbers is a mystery-comedy-thriller. It follows the same pattern as in case of normal alien attack movies, the only difference in this movie is the humor element added. Erin Island was beautifully shown in this movie, it has some good background score but in some areas it doesn’t suit with the movie condition.

At one point Sara get frightened with the psychotic behavior of Rebecca. Who is she, and why is she behaving strangely.
This movie is just like usual Hollywood mystery thrillers, beginning with a mystery and slowly becoming a thriller. There is nothing stand out in this movie but just an average flick.

2.BIG BAD WOLVES(2013)

2.BIG BAD WOLVES (2013)

Language-Hebrew (Israel)
Dir- Aharon Keshales, Navot Papushado
*ing- Lior Ashkenazi (Micki), Tzahi Grad(Gidi), Rotem Keinan (Dror)
PLOT
“The best film of the year “, these are the words by great director Quentin Tarantino about the 2013 Israeli movie BIG BAD WOLVES. The movie begins by showing three children playing hide and seek in a suburb. A girl goes missing from there, next the scene shift to a abonded building where three cops beats a man (Dror), who is the prime suspect in the missing girl’s case. But due to lack of evidence they are forced to release him. Within days the authorities are informed by an anonymous person about the location of the girl, Micki and Rami (cops in charge of the case) are shocked by the scene in the location. The girl was slaughtered and made to sit in a chair with her panties in her knees (she was brutally raped) and her head was missing. Micki was transferred to the traffic department due to the YouTube video shot by a boy about his assault on Dror. He was forced to show his innocence, the only way to get back to the crime department is by proving that Dror is the culprit. Micki chases Dror to make him say the truth and caught him, but soon they are caught in the hands of Gidi (the girl’s father). He took both of them to a basement, which is made as a torture spot. What is his plan? Did his child’s death made him as a psycho? Is Dror really kill the girl? What side will Micki choose?

This is my first Israeli movie experience, the only reason to watch this movie is due to the statement made by Tarantino. The movie is filled with thrilling background scores. As the movie progress it will make the viewers in their edge of the seat, we will be confused at some points. In the end it remains a mark in our minds. Still there are some negatives like the acting, where the actors loses their naturality in many scenes. But they made a great performance in the end.

1.GROTESQUE(2009)

1.GROTESQUE (2009)

Language-Japanese(Japan)

Dir- Koji Shiraishi.
*ing- Hiroaki KawatsureKa (Kazuo),           Tsugami Nagasawa (Aki), Shigeo Osaka(doctor)
PLOT
Aki (Tsugami) and Kazuo (Hiroaki) are on their way back from their first date. They are grabbed from the street by a stranger (which later revealed him as a doctor), when they open their eyes they are tied in a room with plastic covered walls, which seems like some basement. The doctor started to torture them physically and mentally. The girl even was subjected to sexual assault and made her boyfriend to see it. He stabbed Aki’s belly, ripped his eye out, chopped his fingers and made a garland to her girlfriend. He cut off the right hand of Kazuo sliced her nipples and made garland for Aki. He made them clear that he is doing all this for his sexual satisfaction, and will release them as soon as he satisfied. Will he keep his word? Will they be able to escape from this predator?

Grotesque is 2009 exploitation film. I think this is one of the most brutal torture movie I had ever seen, the way in which it portrays some of the extreme methods are horrible. So this will not be a suggestion for the paint hearted people. The movie uses both natural sound and background score in the exact places, so that the viewers will not find any boredom.
