PLOT
One of the most controversial name in the history of Indian cricket, so there will not need any further introduction for Mohammed Azharudheen, who was charged with match fixing in the late 90’s. The movie begins with a preparation for a sting operation to trap the players and bookies associated with match fixing, while the time Azhar completed his 99th test match with an hundred and a win for India. In the next day he was called by the Indian Cricket Association and informed him that he was accused of match fixing so they imposed him with a ban from the cricket. From applause to the accusation, from claps to the hurling of stones, it was all of a sudden that the Azhar fell from the peak to the depth. He was alone in the world with no one in support for him, even the teammates. So Azhar came to his old friend Reddy to ask him to appear for his case. For the benefit of his case Reddy asked him to say all those things that happened in his life, there started the flashback of Azhar with his cricket life, his marriage, his love and some other facts we doesn’t know about him and the cricket and his fight for his justice.

When this movie was released it didn’t get much appeal from the crowd as well as from the critics, it was failed to depict the life of Azhar that was the reason as told by the critics. I didn’t find any such kind of mistakes in the movie, all the heard stories and rumors during that period was depicted clearly. If you try to watch this as an inspirational sports movie then you will get disappointed, even more than a biopic it’s a romance drama. Songs and background scores are not up to the mark, even the casting of Imran Hashmi was also not good, he lacks the physic of Azhar. It will not be a great movie but it shows some good message in terms of love.
